Mukesh Sehgal, President & CEO: For over 23 years Mr. Sehgal has guided teams to build high performance financial and media management systems using proven leading edge technologies and processes. His commitment to pragmatic user-centric systems and to rapid cost-effective solution deployment has won recognition and awards from InfoWorld and Crain’s New York Business, as well as from clients including Houghton Mifflin, Commerce Clearing House, NBC Universal, and Viacom.
Under his leadership, RSG Systems has partnered with industry leaders to develop the media management systems crucial to supporting their business strategies. These include systems for budgeting, subscriber billing and cash application, and rights management, as well as executive information centers that let senior managers easily access and analyze business data. Using Mr. Sehgal’s experience and proprietary methodologies, RSG has helped clients smoothly complete the transition to new systems without disrupting workflow.
In addition to his role as founder and CEO of RSG Systems, Mr. Sehgal is the author of a authoritative best selling book on relational database management systems that still retains a 5-Star rating on Amazon. Mr. Sehgal received his M.B.A. degree from the India Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, where he was a Unilever Scholar, and a degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, where he graduated first with distinction.
Jerry Cooper, Board of Advisors: Mr. Cooper brings nearly 30 years of experience with Viacom and its subsidiaries, where he led the vanguard in finance, tax, operations, and information technology. His vision for streamlining financial systems and processes to improve productivity and empower senior management is the driving force that guides our efforts.
As a result of Mr. Cooper’s efforts, Viacom increased sales and offerings, and improved the delivery of information to executives, while significantly reducing revenue loss, days receivables outstanding, customer contacts and audits with findings, invoice preparation time, and overall administrative burden.
During his 12 years as Executive Vice President, Finance, and Operations of Showtime Networks Inc., he was responsible for Finance, Network Operations and Information Systems as well as handling new technologies, new media, business development, organizational change and strategy. Previously, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of SNI. As acting President he launched Lifetime Television Network, and is one of the founders of the Cable Health Network. Prior to this he was Vice President Treasurer and Vice President Taxes and Insurance at Viacom.Mr. Cooper holds an LLM in Taxation and a BS in Accounting from New York University, a JD from Brooklyn Law School and an AA from The George Washington University.
Prof. Sridhar Seshadri, RSG Media Board of Advisors: Prof. Seshadri is currently a professor of Operations Management in the IROM department, McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. He received the degree of Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India, in 1978, the Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India, in 1980 and the Ph.D. degree in Management Science from the University of California at Berkeley in 1993.
His research interests are in stochastic modeling and optimization, specifically, problems related to planning, coordination and optimization in supply chains; revenue management; and the impact of risk on operational decisions.
He is an expert on optimization techniques, and is author of several books and articles on optimization and software. He is an Associate Editor for Naval Research Logistics, Associate Editor for Management Science, a Senior Editor for the Production and Operations Management Journal and the Area Editor for Inventory, Reliability, and Control for Operations Research Letters.
